What you need

2 7 Year Old Rye Whiskey
0.5 earl grey tea syrup
of lemon bitters
aromatic bitters
Orange peel
Mint

How to craft

STEP 1

Place 1 Earl Grey tea bag (or tea sachet) in a cup containing 1 cup of hot water. Steep for 3–5 minutes, then remove the tea bag. Add 1 cup of sugar to the hot tea and stir until fully dissolved. Allow the syrup to cool before using.

STEP 2

In a mixing glass, combine:

2 dashes lemon bitters
2 dashes aromatic bitters
½ part Earl Grey syrup
2 parts Knob Creek 7-Year Rye

STEP 3

Add fresh ice (large cube recommended) and stir gently until the cocktail is well chilled and properly diluted.

Step 4:

Garnish with an expressed orange peel and a fresh mint sprig.
